Barnsley College is hosting a free event aimed at businesses within the Engineering and Manufacturing sectors.
Attendees will have the opportunity to find out how the college can support businesses to understand the Apprenticeship Reforms, what the introduction of the levy and co-investment funding changes will mean, and how to maximise the return on investment through training.
Peter Lawrence, Head of Business Development at the college said: “The apprenticeship landscape is changing and it’s an exciting time ahead. From May, apprenticeships will become much more accessible to employees of all ages and will range from entry-level right through to Degree. We want to make sure employers understand the impact of these changes and are ready to benefit from the opportunities they bring in terms of new apprentice recruitment and existing workforce development.”
The event will be held on Wednesday 26 April 2017, 5.30pm to 7.00pm, at the Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths (STEM) Centre on Old Mill Lane, Barnsley, S70 2LA. Parking is available at the pay and display car park on County Way, Barnsley, S70 2JW. Refreshments and light snacks will be served upon arrival whilst attendees network.
