There’s an egg-citing programme of Easter activities for youngsters coming up at Clifton Park Museum and Boston Castle.

For pre-schoolers the fun starts on Tuesday 4 April at Clifton Park Museum. The toddler craft sessions, aimed at under-fives, cost £2.50 per child. There are two sessions – 10.00 – 11.30am and 1.00 – 2.30pm. Book in person at Clifton Park Museum or by telephone.

Keep boredom at bay when the schools break up with a variety of crafts and other spring-time themed activities.

On Tuesday 11 April there will be an Easter themed drop-in at Clifton Park Museum. Children can come along to one of the workshops (10.00 am - 12 noon or 1.00 – 3.00 pm) and take part in craft activities, including egg cup decorating, and an Easter trail. Booking not required. The event costs £3 per child.

On Wednesday 12 April children can take part in crafts at Boston Castle, including the chance to decorate an “egg” candle and take part in an Easter trail. There will be two sessions – 11.15 – 12.30 and 1.15 – 2.30. Book in advance at Clifton Park Museum or by telephone. The cost is £4 per child.

These events are most suitable for 3 – 12 year olds. All children must be accompanied by an adult.

Councillor Taiba Yasseen, Rotherham Council’s Cabinet Member for Neighbourhood Working and Cultural Services said: “As ever these ever-popular family events promise to be lots of fun for little ones. Bring the children along and enjoy some spring-themed crafts.”
