Rotherham children can cool-off during the school holidays at Rotherham’s award-winning Clifton Park.

The water splash play area opened on Saturday (8 April) from 11am to 5pm. It will continue with these opening hours each day of the Easter holidays until Sunday 23 April.

After this time it will open at weekends and school holidays until the end of the summer.

The water splash area is situated in an acre of fountains, with exciting water features and lots of fun.

This includes a paddling pool to splash in, a stream to play in, dancing jets and child triggered high jets - it will keep all the family entertained for hours!

Rotherham Council’s Cabinet Member for Neighbourhoods and Cultural Services, Cllr Taiba Yasseen, said: “Children can enjoy lots of fun during the Easter holidays and explore Clifton Park, and its attractions. With the parkland, gardens, rides and games it has everything you need for the perfect day out.”

“We encourage people to come along to Clifton Park and visit the water splash area which is normally open at weekends and Rotherham’s school holidays for the rest of the summer.”

The water splash area will not open on school inset days because schools choose these individually.

We request that young children wear suitable swim nappies which can be purchased at the kiosk on site rather than wearing their ordinary disposables.

There are refreshments and facilities available adjacent to the water splash area or for something more substantial to eat, why not visit the Granary Café at Clifton Park Museum?

The water splash is free, but don't forget to bring some money for car parking.

Find out more information about Clifton Park and plan your visit. Any changes to normal operating times will be advertised on our website, so it is advisable to check before travelling to the park.
