Motorcyclist dies following collision in Sheffield

A 23-year-old man has died and a 32-year-old suffered serious injuries after the motorcycle they were riding on was involved in a collision last night (Thursday, 9 June).

At around 8.30pm, the 23-year-old rider and his 32-year-old his passenger were travelling on a white SMF ZZ 125 motorcycle along the Wicker towards Saville Street in the city centre.

At the same time, a 52-year-old woman was travelling in a blue Ford Focus, along Derek Dooley Way towards the parkway.

The two vehicles were in collision at the cross roads for Derek Dooley Way and the Wicker.

The men and woman were all taken to hospital following the incident. The woman suffered minor injuries as a result of the collision.

Officers would like to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the collision, or either vehicle prior to the collision taking place.
